Self Portrait

Graduated at UFRGS - Brazilian Federal University in Fine Arts 2003, speciality in Drawing. In 2008 finished a new Degree in Art-Education at the same University.

His work has a deep connection with literature, influenced by great writers like Edgar Allan Poe, Kafka, Oscar Wilde and Lovecraft - which inspired the "Lovecraft Series" presented in this ArtWanted gallery. In his final graduation work, a combination of experimental paiting and drawing, he looked for inspiration in Rimbaud's poem "Bal des Pendus", also presented in this portfolio.

In 2008, he started activities as webdesigner. Recently, combining research in Art-Technology and Education, Gunther Natusch uses new freeware technologies to create digital illustration, producing dense and personal scenaries. You can notice Giger, Bacon, even some Magrite influence, but the importance of his own identity is a strong point in GrafGunther's art.
