I took up painting in pastel in 2007 and enjoy dabbling in other media also. Although self taught I owe a large debt to artists past and present for their generosity in sharing techniques, advice and inspiration. After an initial flurry of trying produce paintings for their own sake I have more recently settled into serious studying and learning the language of art so that I will be able to more effectively transcribe my own personal visions of the world around us.
