I've always been a nature/wildlife outdoor type and through painting I found a way to express my love of the natural world. I'm self taught and never considered myself artistic, I never took art in school unless I was forced! Painting has enhanced my outdoor experience as it gave me a whole new perspective of what I was looking at. It was as if I were seeing a tree for the first time. Light, shadow, textures, color, a whole new world appeared.
