I am Layeeqa Fathima. I was born in an Indian city and am now a mother of three wonderful children. Right now, I live with my family in Qatar.

I had always wanted to do something creative with life. I had done some sketching and henna art when younger. It was when I had my first child in 2007, I felt inspired by the beauty & joy of motherhood. This made me explore my inner talent. When I first took a brush in my hands to paint, I just continued to paint and realized that I could never stop this. Painting gives me energy, strength and peace in my life. Since then, my life is full of colors.

I love to do Henna designing, Acrylic & Silk paintings and shibori dyeing textiles. I strive for simplicity in my Art. The enthusiasm I feel while doing my paintings is something that I continually work to bring out in my art.
