Artist Bio

Eliza is an Australian Artist and mother of two boys. Her first "job" as an artist was at the tender age of 11 when she was paid $5.00 by the school to draw around the edges of all the blackboards. That firmly established in her mind that she was a "professional" artist. As an adult Eliza headed the Art team of the Sunshine Coast (Queensland) Yellow Pages, as well as freelancing as both a graphic designer and a web designer. For several years Eliza owned and ran the "Mooloolah Valley News", a small town newspaper.

In recent years Eliza decided to concentrate full time on fine art. In the last 3 years she has shown in many group shows and has had one private show. She has had paintings auctioned to raise money for the research into AIDs as well as having paintings raffled to raise money for the Schizophrenia Fellowship. Her paintings hang in the Royal Brisbane Hospital, the School for Mental Health, the Sportsmans Hotel, as well as many private collections world wide. She has sold over 400 paintings in the last 3 years all over the world. In 2003 one of her paintings won a prize in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania - and she has never even been there!

Recently a painting by Eliza was chosen to go on the cover of the 2004 May issue of "Balance" magazine.

Eliza is a member of "Juried Online Arts Festival" and the"Australian Artworkers Alliance".
