I live and work in lovely Bucks County, Pennsylvania, a wonderful place to spend a life.
I continue learning to see, really see. I look for what is beautiful, what is interesting, what is funny and then translate these things into real or imagined images. Youll see that my paintings can be traditional, they can be more contemporary or they can be down-right silly. Whatever their style, the common link is how I use color. I use the Impressionists, particularly Paul Cezanne, as a model for my paintings. An apple isnt just red. When I look closely an apple is red, green, yellow, violet, brown, grey, and on and on. I have had the good fortune of teaching for an arts-in education foundation, where I worked with children of all ages. Kids are unafraid to use color boldly and they draw and paint only what they like. They observe and depict things simply. Their creations grow partly from their imagination and partly from what they know from the world. This experience is another important influence on my work. When I create, I keep these child-like attributes in mind.
I want my art to bring pleasure, happiness, joy, a smile! Enjoy browsing through my painting and creations. If you like what you see, you can purchase the original, if available, or a print.
