I am a self taught artist and have been drawing in graphite all my life. I enjoy exploring what you can do with a pencil and with a woodburner. I discovered a love of woodburning several years ago and work in that mostly on gourds, which make a terrific canvas for my work. Always different, always unique. I love to learn new things and since my kids are now grown and on their own, I have more time to devote to my artwork. I've begun to explore color in the last couple of years and fallen in love with watercolor and soft pastels. I do tend to move around from medium to medium but mostly try stick to those four, oh and pen & ink, and carving and on and on and on.......LOL Throw in a little photography. My camera is usually with me wherever I go. Whatever my mood is that day I guess. I love portraits and animals, some still life and my gosh, how can anyone specialize?! I just love it all!
