Artists Statement:
I started painting in 2009. The first thing that I applied a brush to outside of school, was the Cannery Way Mural in Cambridge, Maryland. Since then I have I have dedicated myself to painting daily.
My painting's capture the life of Maryland and surrounding areas. I enjoy painting many styles and subjects, and I rarely stay on the same for an extended period of time. This is a habit that I picked up through tattooing. Working with different people daily meant that I would never do a certain subject or style for more then a few hours.
Though my paintings are continuously changing they are a visual dairy of the places that Ive lived and traveled. I try to keep my focus towards the ways of life in Maryland and the surrounding areas. Scenes of urban landscapes tells strong stories of life.
Creating a small daily painting for me, not only helps document the state of Maryland. It helps provide a sense of discipline in continuously progressing.
