Artists Statement

I have asked myself what I enjoy painting and what I feel while painting a work of art. My main interests are bold and dramatic patterns, colors, and floral objects all arranged in ways to create beauty, warmth and explicit attention. My main inspiration for the majority of my work is contrasting colors. The bright colors force the subject to jump off the canvas and allow viewers to see the objects in a unique style.

Artists Biography

Cassandra Baker, born and raised in Beaver, Pennsylvania, grew up painting and drawing since the time she could hold a pencil and a paint brush. Coming from a family whose father is an architect, she grew fondly of shapes and geometric patterns. She continued her interests throughout grade school, high school and college. Cassandra graduated from La Roche College with a Graphic Design degree.

Now working with her father at his architectural firm, she continues to paint and draw abstract shapes with a focus on floral subjects. She has exhibited work in local galleries and would like to continue showing the world her bright colorful imagination.
