I am a self-taught New York City artist. I like to paint in bright, colorful, abstract and whimsical styles. I mostly work with acrylics, watercolors, and oil pastels.

I believe an important purpose of art is to delight. Being a naturally curious person, I often experiment with color and texture, and I believe my artwork reflects this in a visually stimulating and interesting way. I have never had any formal art school training, but I just love creating art, and hope it makes you smile, too!

To date, I have had my paintings exhibited in one "brick and mortar" art exhibit for the West Side Arts Coalition (WSAC) here in New York City. It was a themed show and the theme was "New Realities"; for which I exhibited abstracts as well as a whimsical piece.

My interests: I have always been a HUGE music fan, (especially rock and roll) and NRBQ (New Rhythm & Blues Quartet) is my favorite band (as evidenced in my username!) I also like the Beatles, the Jam, the Style Council, XTC, Lucinda Williams, Jonathan Richman, Cake, Soul Coughing, TMBG, Tom Waits and countless others.

Sometimes I create musically inspired paintings, and sometimes I create other types, but the main thing I like to express through my paintings is a sense of humor. Art should be FUN!
