Occupation - Fine Arts, Design ( www.lauren.ru ). Boris Laurentiev is a member of the Union of Artists and the International Federation of Artists of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).

Laurentiev has a Master's Degree from the Stroganov's Moscow Higher Art-Industrial University, the oldest school of industrial and applied art in Russia, found in 1825. The alumni included V. Kandynsky, K. Malevich, A. Rodchenko and E. Lissitsky. The school is in association with Oxford Brookes.

BIOGRAPHY: After serving in the army, Boris Laurentiev's first professional project was to build a memorial complex in honor of the victory in the WWII. From 1990 - Author's contract work in the system of Russian Federation Art Fund, creating paintings for the Palace of Youth in the city of Saratov, making Florentine mosaic for the facade of Ust-Ilimsk hydro-electric power-station, etc., at the same time creating paintings and objects of the so-called paper architecture. From 1993-to-1998 Laurentiev had a contract work with the "Union Gallery". From 1995 due to the beginning of private enterprise in Russia, developed and carried out architectural and design projects, such as designed and created interiors for a French restaurant and a few cafes in Moscow, designed and built an amphitheater for 3,000 people in the Crimea (http://www.lauren.ru/pages/amfi.htm,) and after winning a tender in 1997, designed and built the 2nd floor of Moscow Taganka Theater (http://www.lauren.ru/leclub/33.htm) apart from designing the interiors of the jazz club "Le Club ", the author created frescoes and a series of lamps. From 1997-to-2001 the artist designed and built an entertainment complex in a GAZPROM Company resort, a two-store apartment in the center of Moscow and ethnic Moroccan and Japanese restaurants in Moscow (http://www.lauren.ru/mar/33.htm.) From 1995-2004 Laurentiev created sketches of frescoes, mosaics, stained-glass windows, and forged metal. From 2003-to date the artist has been involved in creating an architectural project and design of interiors of a corporative residence - a complex of houses, parks and amphitheaters, as well as creating a project of reconstruction of a former "profit house" built in 1911 and changing it into an office complex.
