I am originally from Chicago, IL, USA. Studied at College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn, IL, receiving Associates Degree General Studies, & Certifications in Commercial Art & Desktop Publishing. I also studied Illustration, Drawing, & Digital Art at the American Academy of Art, Chicago, IL. I worked for 10 years in the Chicago metro area as a commercial/graphic artist, doing various print projects 1985-1995 (web design was just in its infancy by 1995), doing a few fine art sales on the side with the local art group.. In 1995 my family & I moved to the Atlanta, GA area & I worked 1995-1996 in commercial art in the ATL area. For personal reasons I left the business and tried to find fine art sales outlets in my area. In the meantime I went to nursing school at Gwinnett Technical College & received my LPN license to work at local nursing homes (note::before the COVID-19 virus). Finally, in 2007, I met a photographer who knew where some art groups had formed so I went to their meetings & joined up, exhibited with them & made a few sales again. In 2012-2013 I took a couple online Art History courses from Oxford University in Oxford, UK, yes, THAT Oxford, it wasn't that expensive & it was credit courses...I want to take more soon. Currently I am a member of Kudzu Art Gallery, Norcross, GA...we're just opening up again after a long shutdown from COVID-19. But we still don't have an exhibit scheduled yet -- we're not yet open to the public...hang in there, I'll let you know when!
