Artist Description: FRACTAL ART EXPLANATION
Unlike other Fractal art works I am creating RORSCHACH TYPE ART THAT ALLOWS THE VIEWER TO BECOME INTERACTIVE WITH THE ART.
My art will look differently with each viewing as new hidden faces and creatures and scenes appear in the details.
What I believe I've achieved is a kind of KINETIC 2D ART as the art is always in motion.
Regarding my symmetry I feel that most composition in abstract art is off balance. Only symmetry gives total balance just as ALL LIVING CREATURES ON EARTH WERE CREATED SYMMETRICALLY.
Churches and religious structures are also built symmetrically because of the PEACEFUL feeling that one gets when surrounded by equal balance.
My fractal art is similar to "FOUND OBJECT SCULPTURE" in that I gather interesting designs and shapes that I create with my discontinued fractal art program and THEN assemble all the pieces in PHOTOSHOP. I am basically a MONTAGIST.
I mix and match and flop and stretch and squash and repeat my previously created fractal "OBJECTS" into a cohesive assembly continuing the process until the vision magically appears to me. The most difficult part of my art is the naming of the piece which is only one man's vision. Most of my viewers see something entirely different which makes me know that I have achieved my goal of creating a "LIVING MODULAR WORK OF ART"., which although I use no 3d programs many times achieves great dimension not only in the objects themselves but in the depth and space of the piece itself. - ED SEEMAN
