This iconic structure was built across the Tugaloo River between South Carolina and Georgia. Constructed in the 1920's it was the fourth bridge built at this location and survived until some time in the 1970's when it was destroyed by fire. A concrete highway bridge now spans the river just upstream and one can still see its footprint, the three support columns. -- Oil on canvas - 16x20
