Retired high school teacher and now (self-taught) Upstate New York artist. I consider my work to be IMPRESSIONISTIC. My latest adventure is in animation:creating and compiling: http://www.pastelsbywelz.net/AnimationCreation.html I love Monet and VanGogh but what puts me into an immediate trance is viewing impressionistic paintings/drawings for children. I am especially referring to the art work in childrens' books just like DICK AND JANE (believe it or not). Also, Faith Rhingold comes to mind with her books and stories. I am attracted to electric blue. The unconscious has a way of finding its way onto the paper or canvas; despite efforts to do otherwise. There in may be my "style." Obviously, I am a self taught-experimenter . Sometimes it works out ;sometimes it does not.
