Spent lots of time as a professional photographer in wedding and medical photography. Also general photography. Started working with woodturning after my Amish father gave me an old lathe. That bit me quite hard motivating me to learn woodturning. I started Waxhaw Woodturners in Waxhaw NC in 2006 and teach woodturning to youth and adults. About 100 have completed my course. Currently I concentrate on producing pieces on commission and doing demonstrations to other woodturners and in public venues. Estheticly pleasing and challenging works on commission is my primary focus along with teaching others. The Greg Museum of Art and Design in NC has displayed my work.
