Born in a small town in Ohio in 1961, Sherri is a self-taught artist with work that goes back as far as her early childhood years. The first piece that won her an award for first place in show was done I charcoal and was a rendition of her then-boyfriend as she thought he would look at age 85 (at the time he was only 19). She went on from there to do many things in her life, but always returned to her roots and her love of the arts. Earlier in her life she spent her time taking care of others; first her grandparents and then her own children, and didn’t spend as much time creating as she would have liked. Now Sherri is adamant about pursuing her passion and spreading her artwork to as many people as possible so that they may enjoy it as much as she does. As she currently lives and works in Florida, and has for the past 14 years, her passion is to paint in acrylics and her most loved subjects are landscapes of the beach and sunsets/sunrises, but she will also paint other subjects as well. Most recently she has tried her hand at very realistic clown paintings and is working on trying her hand at painting some florals or trees in the very near future.
