Eugene Norris Digital Fine Artist
Erstwhile mathematician/computer scientist Eugene Norris’s passion is creating digital fine art, a fusion of photography photo editing, and print making. His prize-winning images are considerably enhanced on a computer and are individually printed in signed, limited editions. He is an active and prize-winning member of many professional art societies.
He has had a number of one-man shows: in St Petersburg, at Opera Central, at Eckerd College, and at Art on First; and two Artist of the Month shows at Sun Tan Art in St Pete Beach. His work is included in numerous group shows with The Society of Exhibiting Artists, SunTan Art, The Photographic Arts Society of St. Petersburg, in the Largo Public Library, The Pinellas Park Art Society, and at ASPEC at Eckerd College. In 2016 he received Special Recognition and Special Merit Awards in the Botanicals 2016 Exhibition sponsored by The Light Space & Time On-Line Gallery, and in 2017 he has won five awards to date.. He lives on a barrier island near St. Petersburg.
Gene does his own printing and mounting, principally on stretched Epson Exhibition canvas up to 24 inches on the short side. Larger size are available as well. Editions are limited to 25 in number, and prints are individually numbered and signed; a signed certificate of authenticity is provided to each buyer on request. He also accepts commissions and special orders.
