My name is Jennifer Anne Esposito. I was born in Lincolnshire UK where I grew up, and I have autism. I am mildly autistic and I have been painting and drawing all my life ever since I was just a toddler. I never did too well at any other subjects at school, I was very much on my own. Ever since I was three my teacher noticed I was very different and I would go off and do my own thing which was usually art. By the time I was ten I was diagnosed with autism.
I started to show an interest in period looking art, I was fascinated by ornate mirrors and anything ornate and gold, at such a young age I loved to visit period homes with my mom and developed an inspiration of old century design and started to draw golden detailed borders around my work and artwork at school and I also got into the interest of Egyptian creatures.
At primary school I would always draw, I would bring my animal books with me and draw at every opportunity I had. I always knew what I wanted to do. In craft while everyone else made clay bowls and square cushions I would be making clay lions and sewing Egyptian jackal shaped door stoppers. It wasn’t until some years later that I noticed the large amount of concepts you could do with being an artist. I also have developed a love for ACEOs, mini art cards that are very collectible. I have been commissioned several times and have started to make prints of my work. I adore painting fantasy creatures especially felines in a period ornate style. I'm a self taught artist and I'm constantly doing my art and enjoy every bit of it. I don't know where I would be without it in my life. Much of my art has sold throughout the world.
