Seriously, Bill you are a master at detail! I am in awe, once again, of your talent. I'll bet your dimensions are exact on this ship. Also, I love the dark sky above and bright ship below. What a great way to show contrast and make that ship pop and shine! Your water and land is so beautifully painted too. Museum quality at it's best, Bill!!!
Artist Reply: Deborah, Thank you so very much for your kind comments. I am flattered to no end. This painting took me the better part of a year to finish and was at times a real headache, but turned out worth it. I worked on the sky for over three months before I liked it, same with the rest of the painting. I make every part of the work a seperate painting in itself. The key to doing a painting like this is I NEVER hurry, and it is finished when I have sat and looked at it for a couple of months and can find no flaws. Thank you again.
Bill
Artist Reply: Thank you Elizabeth. This one took almost 200 hours, over almost a year. 24 x 36 inch canvas. It was done for a client in Stockholm, and is now hanging onboard her. Bill
