Russell Phillips - New Zealand

Since my childhood I have dabbled away with pencil, chalk, crayons, paints scurrying away pastels that my dad had dropped or mislaid when he was working on a new landscape I am a visual artist living in Christchurch, New Zealand with my wife, daughter, two canines Rubie and Merlin and three chickens. The earthquakes we have experienced in Canterbury during the past 17 months have enabled me to re focus my future and to move my artistic activity to another level. My artistic style is in realism when working with pastel, where as my watercolours are in a fast and loose style with expression and movement.
