Artist Bio

I have lived my entire 60 years with only one dream, to become an artist. Two weeks ago my husband and I were baptized and it was on that day that my dream came true. As people were exiting the church, welcoming us and congratulating us on being baptized a woman came up to me and said "Are you the artist?" to which I answered "Yes". It wasn't until later on in the day that I realized exactly what had happened and what it meant. All this time I thought it was about how much I sold and whether I was able to support my family with my art. The real proof of being an artist is simply to be acknowledged as one. God bless all of the struggling artists out there and I hope this helps you to understand the true meaning of being an artist comes from within each of us. Well this just goes to prove that you can never stop learning. At the ripe old age of 63 I decided to start trying to teach myself 3-D art. I've downloaded a few samples of my work and will continue to drown you in 3-D art drawings over the next few weeks. I've REALLY been working on them. Started with just the pictures of the animals playing with the lines on their paper and have graduated to folding the paper to make it look more 3-D, on to 2 pages and finally am now trying out the 3 page 3-D art. It's been fun and I've incorporated some of my 3-D butterflies, for instance, into paintings here and there. It's a lot like street art. I learned a lot from Muraljoe and am dying to paint a mural of his undersea painting. I've painted it twice now. God bless all the artists in the world who are willing to teach what they have learned.
