I can't believe it's already October! I came down with a bad case of pnemonia in the early summer for which i was hospitalized, and guess maybe this is what made the year go by so fast!

Well, anyway, I wanted to add a note here that I can be found on FaceBook as Gwen Little Boots. I don't have any friends, but started the page some time ago because I use my other FB page for family and old friends. I guess i'm just experimenting with networking my way...But I'd be happy to make new friends along the way.

I wrote a small piece for a Reader's Digest contest which can be read here http://apps.facebook.com/yourlifecontest/content/something-i-read

Made a to-do list today and spoke with sis about options. Also, finished reading The Circus is Coming. It's achildren's book published by Golden Book in 1978.

The story was simple with some good starter words for a learning kid, and the art work was amazing.

Anyway, most recently, i finished a class and drew 4 new charcoal pieces. (The class and charcoal aren't related, though.)

One of the charcoal pieces is a self portrait. i thought i would be posting it, i'm pretty pleased with it, but after looking at it, again, tonight...it just seems kinda personal to be posting online. i do hope to post the other 3 pieces soon though...we'll see how well i can photograph them. (haha!) i've had some interesting results when photographing art that is too large for my scanner.

i just finished publishing my Web site and you can see it at www.gwenlittleboots.webs.com I do have some text editting to take care of, but for the momment i have mostly been concentrating on the imagery.

i also included some short stories because i enjoy writing very much, and would like to eventually compile my short stories into a book.

As far as creating art goes i have been working with graphite and charcoal a lot lately. The newest piece i've posted is the portrait of Hillary Clinton. i do have some digitial design ideas that i really hope to get around to making soon though!
