Life is a bowl of colors ! even if the paint gets on your jacket!

I was born in Lima, Peru and came to live in New York at the age of seven. I grew up in Long Island a very nice town called Great Neck. I traveled after finishing high school to Europe where I lived in Madrid, Amsterdam, Athens an Paris for a period of 3 years, then came back and entered Pratt Institute in Brooklyn , NY and studied film and fine art (painting) My favorite art is the Egyptian antiquities art of ancient Egypt. I also like the modern art of Pablo Picasso and Henri Matisse. In NYC I became enamored with urban art and was influenced by Andy Warhol and Keith Haring, in 1989 I was commissioned by Absolut Vodka to create a large canvas, Absolut Planas. I was 23 yrs old and loved living in NYC. I left NYC and traveled west first to Phoenix where I stayed for 2 yrs and found a beautiful place called Sedona, during this time the spiritual urge was awakened in my own search for a path. I moved Los Angeles in 1991 and opened an art and design studio in the city of West Hollywood ( Jon Planas Fine Art), I worked there and in 1995 again Absolut Vodka commissioned the largest most expensive art billboard which I created, Absolut City, was unique and got me a lot of international awards. In december of 2004 just before planning to attend a major Art Exhibition in NYC, my art studio had a tragic fire and I lost most of my material stuff and was badly hurt. I have worked hard to re-establish my self and with the help of some close friends recently my artwork has been dysplayed at some artshows locally in Los Ageles.a I am moving ahead in regards to new mediums and have started writing for the musical theater and independant films, I love digital photography and have been also creating a large group of drawings and multi media artworks. I like to travel and my favorite place is NYC, Paris and Amsterdam. I also like the tropical beaches of Puerto Rico, Hawaii and St. Thomas. Locally I love the weather in Palm Springs especially around my birthday in April! I plan to become a spanish national and visit and perhaps permanently move to Spain in a few more years and live in the city of Barcelona. I am in a platonic relationship with a beautiful actress if that means anything to anyones, sex is not the most important facet of any of my relationships, and have been deeply in love a few times in long term relationships, I am open to what the universe has in store and I think that the best is yet to come... peace ansd blessings to anyone that may actually read all about me and my interesting and sometimes crazy life...
