My name is Tariq Malik. I was born on the same day as a personal hero, William Shakespeare, in 1993 and I have been pursuing the arts as long as I can remember. My main focus in my school and community has been the performing arts; mostly theater. I also have a strong love of music. Upon entering the high school I currently attend, University Preparatory School, I became much more interested in the visual arts. Previous to my classes with Mr. Fitzgerald I never felt I was cut out to do any form of visual arts, but his teaching has helped me widen my horizons. I now enjoy working on my artwork as much as I can, in between rehearsals for musicals and such. I particularly enjoy pencil sketching, portraiture, and realism but I am open to anything. I plan on continuing my career as a performer, aspiring to make it on Broadway, and I will continue to make my art open for all to see throughout the entire journey.
