Arron Kirkwood is basically a self taught artist that began creating art as a child. Though the artist studied at Ohio State University he truly credits his love for art from his first instructor one Marvin Vines at the Fredrick Douglas Center in his home town of Toledo Ohio as a young boy.

Arron created his art business "The Art OF Arron" in Houston, Texas where he has lived and painted for the past 30 years. His true love in art is that of creating works depicting the life of the African American Family and it's present day history and life. His love for painting people in general is what has lead him to becoming one of the Premier Portrait Artists of today. Arron also loves to create murals which gives life to everyday living and that of history. Growing up in a loving family enviorment, within his immediate and extended family, has given him the foundation to develope and create art of people both young and old, living and deceased.

Giving all honor to God, this artist would love to one day paint you, your loved ones and or just have you enjoy one of the many creative works of art that he's been blessed to create.

Working in several mediums, his preferrence is oil on the larger scale and Prisma Color and Charcoal on the smaller scale.

The artisits favorite verse from the Bible is Jerahmia 1:51 " I knew you before I formed you in the womb". The Artist states,"God created me to be a artist therefore I shall create art until I live on this earth no more!
