Self Portrait

I am an 8th generation San Franciscan who has worked as a Make-up Artist in the city for the past 11 years. I grew up in Santa Cruz, Ca. before moving to SF in 1992... after I graduated High School. In the past, I have had extreem dificulty in getting copys of my work (from fashion designers, photographers, models etc.). So... in 2000 i started painting on canvas again.(which i hadn't since High School.) Since then, painting has become a force. It really is my passion. I have studied Color, Drawing, Painting, Printmaking, Ceramic Sculpture, Advanced Ceramics and Sculpture at City College San Francisco. I have always seen the world as a beautiful, colorful, elegent place. A movie within my own mind, so to say. I hope that my paintings last a lot longer than I do and that people smile and feel just a little bit better about their world when they look at them. The power of beauty... It is still something that I dont understand. However, I know that I can create a view of somebody's ideals to show to the world. The ideals of a single generation X'er growing up in California.

I have been selling through a Gallery in SF. called the Artist-Xchange on 16th and Valencia, for the past year and done many installations as well as a couple consignments.

**UPDATE** Due to an apt. fire that happened on Halloween 2005, that forced me out of the city for a year, and the return... I have not shown over the past 3-4 years. I am however pulling together my new collection and will hopefully begin showing again in the late fall. Keep an eye out for me in San Francisco. I haven't gone away!
