Teody Asuncion paints, in acrylics, colorful and expressive renderings of contemporary life, floral and urban landscape. He is equally adept at portraiture. Teody holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture from the Technological Institute of the Philippines and a 1985 Certificate in Drafting Technology from the Marikina Institute of Science and Technology. Teody worked as an artist for television in the Philippines before moving with his young family, in 2002, to Canada. In 2004, he received his Certificate in Art from the Minnesota-based Distant Education School. He continues to devote his free time to art, combing libraries, joining PAG’s plein air and live sketching sessions, and producing an impressive number of paintings. Teody joined the Philippine Artists Group of Canada in 2009 and has been its Treasurer since 2010. He takes part in all PAG exhibits.
