Long before Deborah can remember, her parents would give her paper, paint and a brush, they knew that she would be content for hours. So whenever she is asked the question, “How long have you been painting? “ Deborah can honestly reply: “All my Life!”

During Deborah’s high school years she received numerous awards for her accomplishments in art. Thanks to her favorite teacher, who had much faith in her, she received a scholarship to attend art school. For many years Deborah worked from her studio until her and her husband moved to Florida. With his support, She saw this as an opportunity to be even more creative and has been painting constantly ever since.

Born and raised in North Carolina, Deborah enjoyed painting the nearby mountains, lakes and wildlife of the Carolinas. Since moving to Florida in 2001, she has been fascinated with the ever changing waves of the ocean and it’s local wildlife. However, she never misses a chance to travel back to rural areas in the Carolinas in hopes of capturing a peaceful country or mountain landscape. Having a deep appreciation of nature, Deborah strives to portray it as realistically as possible.

In 2002, Deborah opened Atlantic Custom Frames and Gallery in Jacksonville Beach, Fl., where she and other local artist showed and sold their paintings. At the end of 2007, she made the difficult decision to sell the business. She felt it stole much of her time and she wanted to have more time

to sit back, relax, enjoy life…..

And paint!
