I was born in Alabama,USA in 1948. At the age of one I was put up for adoption and was later adopted at the age of seven. For those 7 years I have no memory or photos of my being, but that soon turned around when adopted by two wonderful individuals . Now I have a home. I loved to draw in grade school and in high school a friend and I started photography in a closet and continued through high school. I worked my way through college photographing for the yearbook. I was really turned off by my art instruction so I graduated with a BS in eduction concentrating in Biology. I married at age 21 and have 2 children and 5 grand kids. I taught science and Biology for 10 years while photographing weddings and portraits. Next I worked for the state as an environmental inspector for 8 years. I opened a portrait studio in the 80’s and have occupied my time since with photography. I became interested in digital manipulations in the late 80’s and it was what I really wanted to expand my creative abilities Since the late 70’s I have become a certified photographer, a Master Photographer, an Electronic Imaging Master , a Photographic Craftsman and I have become an international photographic Judge. I have won over 100 state and national professional awards. In 2008 I won 1 st place in the Southeastern Professional Photographers competition. Now I look forward to diving deeply into my thoughts and putting them into a printable form. I have only exhibited locally but would like more exposure. I have had no formal art training but look forward to acquiring some after retirement. My passion now is to mix 3d imaging with traditional photography .
