Born in Porto, engineer and plastic artist, José Cunha has discovered painting at the age of 39 and has been exploring his sensibility towards shapes and colours in the latest years. Order and the geometry of shapes rule over his paintings, emerging from a constant search of colour equilibrium. His paintings are represented in Portugal namely in the Town Houses of Bragança, Paredes, Monção, Goís, Vila do Conde and Esposende as well as in several private collections in Portugal, Italy (Milan), USA (Boston) and Bulgaria (Dobrich).
