I grew up on a farm in a small community in Eastern Ky. My love for art began at a very early age, which is a direct result from watching my Aunt Emma as she created her masterpieces. She was my inspiration.
Back then most of my works were of "Big Red" (our rooster), and the other farm animals. Of course with different stages and phases of my life the subject matter is always changing.
I have been blessed in my art and photogray career, I have won several local, state and national awards. I was accepted in the "National Portrait Painting Society" in 1985. I am now the president of our local art league "Appalachian League of Artist". We have a league gallery were Kentucky Artist are welcome to sell their work, and we are open to the public daily. I am enjoying all types of art subjcts, my favorite is portrait pinting. One of my greatest joys in life is when I am painting with my grandchildren. They all love to paint and I have one buding photographer. I am truly blessed!
