I was born in Georgia, raised in Michigan and am now currently residing in South Carolina. My husband and I have been happily married for 13 yrs and have two beautiful children. I've had a passion for art for as long as I can remember but, put my pencils away when husband and family came along. I picked them up again a few years ago and will never put them back down.
Graphite is the medium I use to capture the beauty I see around me. To show it to others that they may see the beauty for themselves. While working, I become lost in the play of light and shadow, the pencils dancing as if of their own accord, sculpting, molding, coaxing life to spring from the page. My goal is not to draw to resemble a two-dimensional photograph but, to capture the feel, the life within that moment that makes it beautiful.
