In 1969, Troy David VanVeldhuizen (Troy David) was born in Faribault, MN, with an almost immediate love and interest for art. Troy David credits this artistic passion to his maternal family’s bloodline. As a child, Troy David won the “Keep North Dakota Clean” state poster contest, and was recognized for his artistic efforts with personal praise from former North Dakota Governor, Art Link.

As a college student attending Dickinson State University, Troy David focused his artistic skills toward his insatiable interest for pastels, acrylics, and watercolors. While using these mediums, with their bright array of colors, flexible texture and wide range of malleability, Artist Troy David is able to create his incredible and vibrant paintings. It was also in college, while earning his Bachelor of Science in Fine Arts Degree from DSU, Artist and Art Instructor Lili Stewart inspired Troy David to pursue his dream of becoming an accomplished artist.

Troy David credits his unique style and flair of painting to his love of color and movement, and his admiration of the great masters of Expressionistic and Impressionistic painting, such as Van Gogh, Monet, and Renoir.

Troy David has also been recognized by prestige’s art galleries across the country and world wide. His work has been seen in cities such as, New York and Miami. Troy David’s work has also been recently published in a book titled: “ A Published Gallery”.

Aside from his art, Troy David enjoys spending time with his two boy’s Cannon and Taylor, playing tennis with friends, and weekly lattes with his mother.

Since 2003, Troy David has pursued his boyhood dream in becoming an accomplished artist. He has had to endure the ups and downs that come with choosing such an unpredictable career choice. But in doing so, Troy David has persevered, and is well on his way to becoming a master of his craft.
