Recently I have become immersed in my exploration of the theme "Entangled" which has provided my artwork with a wide range fo subject matter ranging from simple physically tangled objects to journeys involving secret passageways, false starts and seemingly impenetrable barriers, which, while exciting the imagination can be both romantic and fantastic or claustrophobic and frightening.The layering of elements, the search for the hidden, the struggle for light and life are all elements which intrique me. Dark and inviting landscapes, twisted and bound objects struggling for freedom and atmospheric abstracts simplifying elements have all engaged my attention this year. Inevitably my work becomes a metaphor for the many entanglements of the human condition.
NB: From Jan to mid July I will be travelling overseas and will not be able to sell original work.
