I AM NOT AN ARTIST I AM JUST A MAN WHO PAINTS... (L.S.LOWRY).......... I have been painting as an amateur on and off for many years. I have over the years developed a very unusual use of colour and content,which i now know from experiance appeal to many people, Including individual collectors and dealers. Newcastle upon Tyne in the north east of England has been a hotbed of heavy industry since the beginning of the industrial revolution. Most of which has now gone forever. A lot of my paintings are recollection of youthful images of the period late 1940s and 1950s... They are inspired by local naive and so called primitive pitmen painters. I am a great admirer of L.S.LOWRY.... Also the great American artists Edward Hopper...Granma Moses....Winslow Homer.. Who did a lot of his best work at Cullercoats Bay England. Only a few hundred yards from were i now live... (ENOUGH I HERE YOU CRY) best wishes Peter
