Hi. I am a Montana artist. I love to use my hands in the motion of creation as oppsosed to destruction. It seems to me the same hands can and have travled two opposing paths. It is through my craft i find the freedom necessary to continue on in life with balance and respect for the things around me and the ability to look within. Hitching horsehair is a time consumeing craft.the actual hitched or hand woven areas takes an average of 1 hour per inch and that time may vary depending on the intricacy of the pattern. the needle knot work at the end of each hitched piece is actually even more time consuming, it can take up to 4-5 hours for 1 inch. in all the average time it has taken me to make these horns is 50-60 hours. thank you for your interest.
