(Jay) Jawara Blake was born in Maryland and lived a bit in the Rio, Brazil as a youth. His father is from Trinadad and mother is from North Carolina. He lived in the U.K. the first four years of his life and then to the U.S.A. He has draw and painted since he was four years old. He speaks Spanish and english. He gets most of his colors from Latin life. His name Jawara means silent. So it's a bit funny he is a quiet painter, who keeps to him self.
Jay is an insomiac. He sleeps two hours at a time. He loves painting and reading. He has no children. He is a bit manic do to the none sleep some times. He feels a calm pass over him when he paints and when he finishes each painting he sleeps for four hours.
I guess I'm just a nut job.
