It was born in Matosinhos, the 7 of May of 1956.
Special cycle in Plastic Arts for the ESBAP (School of Beautiful-Art of the Port) in 1981.
Effective professor of secondary education since 1979. Currently it keeps suspended this activity, in regimen of license without expiration, for indeterminate time.
Professor of Superior Ensino, in the Superior Course of Drawing of the ESAP of 1982 the 1997.
President of the Direcção of the Cooperative of Artistic Superior Education of Port - CESAP, since January of 1991, the February of 1997 (two mandates).
Director of the Cooperative Tree of Artistic Activities, CRL, in the quality of vowel of the Direcção, since 1989.
Currently it exerts the position of Director of the Workshops of Ceramics, Photograph, Engraving, Litografia and Serigrafia of the TREE.

1994/1996-Initiate in contribution with the City council of Matosinhos, one projecto called Histories of Matosinhos , that it consisted of the accomplishment, throughout two years, of an album of 10 Lithographies, a set of 8 Aguarelas, of 100x80cm, 4 Oils of 160x130cm, a díptico, also the oil, com160x260cm and still, a set of 5 Ceramics panels, with 90 a total area of about m2. All these works, to the exception of aguarelas, that they had been commercialized, are part of the artistic quantity of the City council of Matosinhos. Of this projecto was edited a catalogue where, it stops beyond diverse reproductions, if it includes a text of Laura Castro and a poem of Manuel António Pina.

In 1988, it participated with 6 Lithographies in the album the Tower of House arrest under bail (edition of the Cooperative Tree) story of Viale Moutinho, that also includes a drawing lithographed of Fernando Wounds. Limited the 141 units, numbered drawing and signed for the authors.
