Artist Bio

I live in the north country of Ontario near the shores of Lake Superior.

My paintings reflect my love and passion for this area known for it's natural rugged beauty and abundant wildlife, which I am fortunate to see often on my excursions.

In my paintings, I have incorporated my finely detailed wildlife into their natural settings, providing a "point", thus improving the interest and intimacy for you, the viewer, to appreciate.

You will see loons in many of my paintings because they hold a special place in my heart. I've spent many hours at our cottage enjoying their presence on our quiet inland lake. The Common Loon in summer, has a very striking appearance, with its black-and-white checkered back and characteristic white necklace around the throat. Their yodels, and mournful calls, even in the dead of night, are like no other bird. No wonder loons are a favored topic of ancient folklore, revered totems, and mythical stories passed on through generations by our Native American Indians. I thank you for looking at my paintings. Enjoy!

Comments always welcome.
