Artist Bio

Hi, I am Ching, a full-time painters and a frame shop owner. My studio is located in Georgetown, one of the World's Heritage Sites. I run the frame shop with my hubby. We really enjoy the living atmosphere here. In this tropical country, we have 'summer' all year round hahah ... with Chinese, Malay and Indian living together many many decades in the country, we have had multi-cultural influences in our arts and living.

All my paintings are original hand-crafted by myself. Most of the design are inspired by natural patterns and vintage asian graphics such as Indian's, Malay's and Buddhism's. I like to create bold textured patterns on canvas block, multi layers of colors to create different depth hence to have a unique, one-of-a-kind art.

Here in Penang, I have been commissioned to paint for Hotels and interior designers.
