Born in Chicago; grew up partially there and partially in Tucson, AZ. Studied painting with a concentration in medical art at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign; went on to attend master's program for medical illustration at University of Illinois at Chicago.
Lived in New Orleans for a spell of a few years, and learned the art of antique china restoration from an established master. Moved to Denver, Colorado, where I currently live with my two small sons and some other (less talkative) animals. Trying to find time to make art (papermaking, drawing, painting, weaving, bookbinding, etc.) in the small slivers of extra time around the edges of my life.
