I have always been obsessed with "creating". My husband jokes all the time about my many ongoing projects. I became interested in formal art in college and went on to receive a BFA from BGSU in Bowling Green, Ohio. I taught elementary art for two years in Florida. What an amazing experience! There's nothing like being inspired by children who are creating art! Then I moved to Knoxville, Tennessee to learn all about Mortgages in my new career with 21st Mortgage. And since having children, I have moved near my hometown in Ohio to be closer to family. I have continued to work in the business world and thoroughly enjoy that.
I specialized in printmaking in college but I do not currently have access to a press so I concentrate on painting, sewing, mixed media, and occasionally drawing.
Art is my meditation - the way that I keep myself centered, even if it's a home improvement project like painting a wall with magnetic paint so I can hang my children's artwork. =)
