Christine Stoddard is a junior at Yorktown High School in Arlington, VA. She has won several awards in literature, including awards in poetry composition and interpretation, playwrighting, and essay writing . Her work has been published both locally and nationally, including literary magazine Teen Ink for which is she is also a board member. Christine is also in the Gifted and Talented Program at her school in four subject areas: English, Science, Social Studies, and the Visual Arts. In addition to writing, she enjoys reading, drawing, studying new languages, and volunteering. With abundant support from her family, Christine has been impressing audiences, teachers and accomplished fellow poets since elementary school. One of three very talented sisters, she was recently selected as a youth winner in the Moving Words Poetry Competition, meaning that her selected poem will be displayed on Arlington Metrobus routes in early 2006.
