I am mostly self taught(especially painting and sculpture, my only teachers were the "old masters" from reading books) and work in oils and pencil.Oil painting is by far my medium of choice and I work in an abstract and also a realistic style. My greatest influences and favorite artists are van Gogh and Rembrandt. I also enjoy doing sculpture. My most enjoyable pieces to create are large works. The larger the better I enjoy it, because I feel you can become more immersed and almost become a part of the work when you stand before it. I also enjoy music, the guitar and piano, but I have very little time for that now. Writing is another creative hobby I pursue, when time allows, having written a novel and hope to do more writing in the future
