I was born in Northern California, and have lived in Hawaii since 1996, Kaua'i since 1998. Before arriving here, I spent my early 20s traveling around the world, being inspired by the art and culture of the places I visited. Although I studied fine art at college, I feel that I am self-taught. I learned far more through traveling than I did through school. In my life on Kauai, I have taught painting and other art-related activities to children for the past five years. As much as art is important to me, my spiritual practice is where I come from and who I am, the art being a reflection of my internal nature, which is way more beautiful than my ability to convey. However, I am compelled to plug along, these paintings and pieces keep popping out.
