Self Portrait

I graduated from the Ringling School of Art and Design in 1989 with a BFA in Illustration and went on to a short stay with Walt Disney Feature Animation. Feeling this was not for me I left for....the United States Army and Operation Desert Storm. As illustrator for a special operations helicopter unit I provided graphics support that aided the regiment in completing their missions around the world. Following my Army service I landed in Pompano Beach, Florida doing motion graphics and design for a video post studio working on everything from info-mercials to music videos. Tampa was the next stop as I was in house illustrator for an ad agency and corporate training company. As production on the animated film Mulan was starting up the call to return to Disney was too inviting so off it was back to Orlando. At Disney I worked on animated films such as Mulan, Tarzan, The Emperor's New Groove, John Henry, Lilo and Stitch, and finally Brother Bear. In 2003 the studio closed and the challenging world of freelance illustration has been my home until now. I currently reside in Riverview, Florida which is very close to Tampa. I have an amazingly supportive wife Norayda (Nor-Aye-Da) and four year old son Austin as well as two dogs named Puppy and Tutti. I am currently the Official illustrator of "Stuff" the Magic Dragon, mascot for the Orlando Magic basketball team.
