Artist Description: COLOR CONSCIOUSNESS: Visual Literacy Without Words, was inspired after Sharon (aka "Auntie Afrika) was invited to present the online gallery chat, FUFU FOR THE EYEBALLS, for the Silver Spring Town Center, Inc. (Maryland). The virtual presentation was well-attended, and several participants encouraged her to create this collection in a book format. Sharon is also creating an online interactive PowerPoint presentation with details about each artwork that will invite viewers to visit her website (www.octaghanahouse2020.com/school) and independently study according to their own availability. Contact the artists to schedule similar events. Support and funding has been provided by the Arts & Humanities Council of Montgomery County (AHCMC), and the Maryland State Arts Council(MSAC).
