Anthony Presley has a style of art that trancends today's thirty second sound byte collage of mindless imagery. He can incorporate techniques that were first cultivalted almost thrirty years before his birth with a fluidity of color blending that cannot escape even the most critical eye. With work being dispayed not only at the school he attended, but also at the Cordova Librtary, Huffman's Deli, St. Francis Hospital in Memphis, TN. His photography, also featured at the Brook's Museum as a Golden Key Winner at the Schoolastics Art Show, awarded him a scholorship to Memphis College of Art. He has had over seven of these unique photos published, capturing imagery with an eye that bleeds through the Lewis Carrol- like dream state of the subconscience, into the soul of the subject that exists as the center of the piece, bringing an order out of chaos that paralells the post modern internet world we live in today. Currently Anthony is working not only on several new paintngs for upcomming shows and private comissions, he is also in the process of turning his lens to new projects, incorporating new teachniques to progress his personality and wit into every captured image. In the fall he will be attending Memphis College of Art and will no doubtedly astound the students and teachers there just as he has anyone who has had the opportunity to see his work in either medium. At eighteen the only thing that is more impressive than the work itself is the thought that this is just the beginning of his journey, one to which he seems quite well prepared. ..
