I live in New Hampshire, USA. Artwork is a wonderful form of release and expression for me. I love to create works of beauty to share. I So love to find scenes with multiple textures and colors to really bring Life to life. It is amazing how many spectacular wonderful things we can find hidden in even the tiniest details of life if we just take a moment to look closer.
Ever since I lost a very close friend I have been using photography as a way first and foremost to remind myself that often we spend way too much time trying to broaden our view, to see 'the big picture' when often the bigger picture is just distracting us from being able to see the beauty right here and now. Secondly, to remind myself that there are times that we can and do let ourselves get stuck in/by the countless, pointless details and need to allow ourselves to step back and see the broader scope. Kind of counter-intuitive I guess, to believe both these things and yet it is this realization that has brought me through so many storms. I guess what I am trying to say is that if the view we are taking is only showing us more trouble/pain/confusion/etc, then we need to change our perspective. Sometimes looking at the big picture is helpful- like standing up on a mountain looking down over a gorgeous valley, but trying to look at a bigger picture if you are standing in the middle of a dense forest all it will do is make you lost and in despair. Lastly, being able to bring beauty into other peoples' lives through my search for it in my life helps to keep me searching for the beauty even when I don't think I can continue.
